Pivotal Labs and VentureArchetypes launched Project Startup in Fall of 2007.
The goal: insight, advice, and connections for web startup founders.
- Bring together the founders of top web startups in a casual, collegial environment
- Get the discussion going with topical ideas led by a panel of experts
- Keep the discussion flowing over free beer…and let the rest work itself out
The idea arose because Pivotal and VentureArchetypes had many clients facing similar questions and challenges….questions about launch, growth, scaling, marketing, team, monetization, etc.
Based on these needs, they came up with the ideal format: a casual but exclusive evening gathering, anchored by a moderated panel of VCs and entrepreneurs who have “been there, done that,” and lubricated with adult beverages and apps.
